Program Overview
The Pup Thrive Affiliate & Influencer Program ("Program") allows approved content creators, bloggers, social media influencers, and brand advocates ("Affiliate," "you," or "Partner") to earn commissions by referring customers to shoppupthrive.com ("Pup Thrive," "we," or "us").
By submitting an application and participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. Please read them carefully before applying or promoting Pup Thrive products.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pup Thrive governing your participation in the Program. Pup Thrive reserves the right to accept or deny any application at its sole discretion.
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the Program, you must meet all of the following requirements at the time of application and throughout your participation:
- You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You must have an active and publicly accessible online presence, such as a social media account, blog, website, podcast, or other content channel.
- Your content must be original and primarily in the English language (or clearly targeted to an English-speaking audience).
- Your platform and content must not violate any applicable laws or regulations, and must not contain or promote content that is harmful, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable as determined by Pup Thrive in its sole discretion.
- You may not be a direct competitor of Pup Thrive or primarily affiliated with a competing pet supplement or wellness brand.
- Pup Thrive currently accepts participants based in the United States. International applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Pup Thrive reserves the right to revoke eligibility at any time if any of the above conditions are no longer met.
Enrollment & Approval
Participation in the Program begins with the submission of an application at shoppupthrive.com/pages/affiliates-and-influencers. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the Program.
Application Review
We aim to review all applications within 2β3 business days of submission. You will be notified of approval or denial via the email address provided in your application. Pup Thrive is not obligated to provide a reason for denial.
Account Information
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information in your application, including your name, email address, and platform details. You agree to notify Pup Thrive of any changes to your contact information promptly by updating your information in the Affiliate Portal.
Commission Structure
Approved affiliates earn a commission on qualifying purchases made by customers who use their unique affiliate coupon code or affiliate link.
Commission Rate
The current commission rate is 10% of the order subtotal. The commission is calculated on the subtotal of the customer's order β meaning the total value of products purchased β before taxes and shipping charges are applied.

Qualifying Purchases
A purchase qualifies for commission when a customer completes a successful order on shoppupthrive.com using your unique coupon code or affiliate tracking link, and the order is not subsequently cancelled, refunded, or charged back.
Non-Qualifying Purchases
The following do not qualify for commission:
- Orders that are cancelled, returned, refunded, or result in a chargeback
- Orders placed using another affiliate's code or link in conjunction with yours
- Any order that Pup Thrive determines to be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms
- Tax amounts, shipping fees, and any third-party charges added to the order
Coupon Codes
Upon approval, each affiliate will receive a customizable discount code ("Coupon Code") to share with their audience, based on the custom code name selected during registration. Coupon Codes are personal to the individual affiliate and may not be transferred, sold, or shared with other affiliates or third parties for resale.
Customer Benefit
When a customer applies your Coupon Code at checkout on shoppupthrive.com, they will receive 15% off their order subtotal. This discount is applied before taxes and shipping.
Code Usage
- Coupon Codes are intended for single use per customer (one use per Shopify account).
- Coupon Codes may not be listed, posted, or distributed on public coupon aggregator websites (e.g., RetailMeNot, Honey, Coupon Cabin) or coupon-focused social pages without prior written approval from Pup Thrive.
- Pup Thrive reserves the right to deactivate a Coupon Code at any time if misuse is detected.
Affiliate Links
In addition to your Coupon Code, approved affiliates will be provided with a unique, customizable affiliate tracking link ("Affiliate Link") directing customers to shoppupthrive.com. Affiliates are permitted to edit the tail end of their Affiliate Link within their dashboard to match their handle or branding, which can help optimize click-through rates on social profiles. Affiliate Links allow Pup Thrive to track traffic and attribute sales to your account.
Link Usage Guidelines
- Affiliate Links must not be disguised, cloaked, or redirected through third-party tools in a manner that obscures their destination from the customer.
- Links must not be embedded in spam emails, pop-up ads, or any unsolicited communications.
- You may use your Affiliate Link across your approved platforms including social media profiles, bio links (e.g., Linktree, Beacons), blog posts, YouTube descriptions, and email newsletters to your existing subscribers.
- Paid advertising using your Affiliate Link (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads) requires prior written approval from Pup Thrive.
Tracking Limitations
Affiliate Link tracking is dependent on cookies and browser settings. Pup Thrive cannot guarantee attribution in all cases due to ad blockers, browser privacy settings, or customers switching devices. The Coupon Code remains the most reliable method of attribution and is the primary basis for commission calculation during the initial phase of the Program.
Welcome Gift
As a thank-you for joining the Program, newly approved affiliates are eligible to receive a complimentary selection of Pup Thrive products ("Welcome Gift"). Following formal approval into the Program, affiliates will be prompted within their partner dashboard to select their preferred free items from a curated menu of our ten (10) core supplements and grooming products.
- The Welcome Gift is strictly limited to approved affiliates residing and operating within the contiguous United States. Shipping to U.S. territories or international locations is unavailable.
- The specific products available for selection are subject to real-time inventory and availability. Pup Thrive reserves the right to substitute alternative gift choices or modify the selection menu at any time.
- The Welcome Gift is provided entirely at no cost to the affiliate (including complimentary standard shipping) and carries no cash value, store credit equivalents, or resale authorization.
- The Welcome Gift is limited to one (1) redemption per affiliate account upon initial enrollment and is not eligible for renewal, replacements, or exchanges.
- Receipt of the Welcome Gift does not legally obligate Pup Thrive to continue the affiliate relationship, nor does it contractually obligate the affiliate to publish or guarantee specific promotional media content.
Payments & Payouts
Pup Thrive is committed to paying earned commissions in a timely manner. Affiliate payouts are managed in a dedicated affiliate management platform that allows for automated tracking, reporting dashboards, and scheduled payouts.
Payout Process (Initial Phase)
- Commissions are tracked by Pup Thrive using Shopify's discount code usage reporting.
- Earned commissions will be calculated and communicated to affiliates on a regular basis. Specific payout schedules will be confirmed with each affiliate upon approval.
- Payment method details (e.g., PayPal, bank transfer, check, store credit) will be agreed upon between Pup Thrive and the affiliate at the time of enrollment.
Minimum Payout Threshold
Affiliates must accumulate a minimum earned commission balance of $20.00 USD before an automated monthly payout is triggered. If an affiliate's account balance is below $20.00 USD at the end of a monthly cycle, the balance will safely roll over to the following month and will continue to accumulate until the minimum payout threshold is met.
Chargebacks & Refunds
If a customer order is subsequently returned, refunded, or results in a chargeback, the corresponding commission amount will be automatically adjusted or deducted from your affiliate account balance within the portal. If a commission has already been paid out prior to a refund or chargeback event, the deducted balance will be applied as a negative credit against your future earnings.
Tax Responsibility
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes applicable to commissions you earn through the Program. In compliance with U.S. law, Pup Thrive utilizes our affiliate platform to securely collect W-9 tax documentation from affiliates once cumulative annual earnings approach or exceed statutory reporting thresholds ($600.00 USD). Payouts may be temporarily paused by the platform until required tax documents are submitted. Pup Thrive will provide annual Form 1099-NEC documentation as required by law.
Promotion Guidelines
Affiliates are expected to promote Pup Thrive products honestly, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable laws and platform rules. The following guidelines apply to all promotional activity.
FTC Disclosure Requirement
You are required to clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship with Pup Thrive in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guidelines. This disclosure must appear in close proximity to any affiliate link or coupon code you share, and must be easily noticeable to your audience.
Acceptable disclosure language includes (but is not limited to):
- "I earn a commission on purchases made through my link."
- "This post contains affiliate links β I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you."
- "Ad" or "#ad" where required by the platform
- "Gifted by Pup Thrive" when promoting the welcome gift or any gifted product
Accurate Claims
- All statements about Pup Thrive products must be truthful, accurate, and based on your genuine experience or the product information provided to you by Pup Thrive.
- You may not make unsubstantiated health claims about Pup Thrive products (e.g., claims that a product cures, treats, or prevents any disease or condition).
- You may not misrepresent the price, discount amount, or terms of the affiliate offer.
- You may not create the impression that you are an employee, spokesperson, or official representative of Pup Thrive unless this has been expressly agreed upon in writing.
Platform Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your promotional content complies with the terms of service of each platform on which you post (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), including all rules regarding paid partnerships, sponsored content, and affiliate disclosures.
Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your affiliate account, forfeiture of all unpaid commissions, and may subject you to legal liability:
- Coupon site distribution: Posting or distributing your Coupon Code on public coupon aggregator websites without prior written approval.
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk emails or messages promoting your Affiliate Link or Coupon Code.
- Cookie stuffing or link manipulation: Using deceptive tactics to artificially inflate traffic or commission attribution.
- Trademark bidding: Bidding on "Pup Thrive" or related brand terms in paid search advertising without explicit written permission.
- Fraudulent orders: Placing, encouraging, or facilitating fraudulent orders in any way.
- Brand disparagement: Making false, misleading, or disparaging statements about Pup Thrive, its products, employees, or other affiliates.
- Unauthorized content: Creating promotional materials using Pup Thrive's logos, images, or brand assets without prior approval.
Brand & Trademarks
Pup Thrive grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Pup Thrive name and any approved brand assets solely for the purpose of promoting Pup Thrive products in accordance with these Terms.
- You may not alter, distort, or modify Pup Thrive logos, images, or brand assets.
- You may not use Pup Thrive's brand assets in a manner that implies endorsement of any third-party product or service.
- You may not register any domain name, social media handle, or brand name that incorporates "Pup Thrive" or any confusingly similar variation without prior written consent.
- All intellectual property rights in Pup Thrive's brand, products, and content remain exclusively with Pup Thrive.
Upon termination of your participation in the Program, your license to use Pup Thrive's brand assets is immediately revoked and you must cease all use of Pup Thrive's name and brand materials.
Termination
Termination by Pup Thrive
Pup Thrive reserves the right to suspend or terminate your participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, conduct deemed harmful to the Pup Thrive brand, platform fraud detection flags, or inactivity for an extended period.
Termination by Affiliate
You may withdraw from the Program at any time by sending written notice to hello@shoppupthrive.com. Upon withdrawal, your custom Coupon Code and tracking Affiliate Link will be immediately deactivated within the portal.
Effect of Termination
- Upon termination for any reason, you must immediately cease all promotion of Pup Thrive products under the Program and remove your Affiliate Link and Coupon Code from all social media bios, platforms, and published content.
- Commissions earned prior to termination on qualifying, non-refunded orders will be paid out at the next scheduled automated monthly payout cycle (the 1st of the month), provided no outstanding policy violations exist and the final account balance meets or exceeds the standard $20.00 USD threshold.
- Commissions flagged or earned through prohibited conduct, coupon-scraping sites, or fraudulent activity will be forfeited in their entirety.
- Pup Thrive is not liable for any losses, perceived or actual, arising from termination of the Program or your individual participation in it.
Modifications to Terms
Pup Thrive reserves the right to modify these Terms, the commission structure, Coupon Code terms, payout schedule, or any other aspect of the Program at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active affiliates of material changes via the email address on file.
Your continued participation in the Program following notice of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any modification, your sole remedy is to withdraw from the Program in accordance with Section 12.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pup Thrive's total liability to you in connection with the Program shall not exceed the total commissions earned by you in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Pup Thrive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Program.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Pup Thrive operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Pup Thrive with respect to the Program and supersede all prior communications, representations, or agreements relating to the same subject matter.
